EquitAbility Consulting works with companies, colleges, non-profits, and other entities and employers in the greater Chicagoland area. We serve as a resource to anyone who needs an independent investigator for claims of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, or retaliation. We also help employers or higher education institutions seeking to provide a civil, bias-free work or educational environment. We are not practicing lawyers and do not serve as advocates for any “side”; we aim to promote a respectful culture for employees, managers, students, faculty, and anyone else wishing to pursue their chosen field in a safe, respectful space.

Investigations:
A prompt, thorough, and fair investigation is the best defense to a claim of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, as well as a best business practice. EquitAbility Consulting’s impartial professionals have the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct an investigation that will provide your workplace or campus with the facts and analysis required to address problems quickly and effectively. We specialize in investigations of claims alleging workplace discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex, age, race, disability, national origin, or other protected classifications, as well as Title IX investigations involving reported sexual misconduct between students, faculty, and staff. For more information about the benefits of using EquitAbility Consulting investigators, see “Why Choose Us.”

Training:
The best way to ensure a safe and respectful working or learning environment, and to prevent discrimination or harassment claims, is by effective training of managers, employees and campus representatives. EquitAbility Consulting offers informative and engaging workshops on non-discrimination, harassment prevention, and inclusion in the workplace or campus. We feature in-person, interactive group activities to educate individuals on their organization’s policies, facilitate learning and communication among coworkers, and ensure managers know how to help promote a culture where respect is valued and discrimination and harassment are not tolerated. Training workshops can be tailored to fit any time allotment. For additional information, see “Why Choose Us.”

Consulting:
EquitAbility Consulting assists clients by drafting or reviewing non-discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct policies, procedures, and other materials, such as poster or website content. We consult with clients on how to comply with best practices in responding to complaints they receive. EquitAbility Consulting also assists clients who are developing internal offices to handle discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct matters. For additional information, see “Why Choose Us.”
